Freelancer: A freelancer works independently on a project basis for various clients or companies. Freelancers enjoy flexible work hours and locations, allowing better work-life balance. In Singapore, freelancers do not receive CPF contributions from clients or employers. They are responsible for managing their own retirement savings, medical, and insurance. Freelancers must handle their own taxes, filing with IRAS by April 15 each year, and settle tax liabilities. Tax obligations vary depending on income and current laws.

Internal Employee: In-house part-time employees work directly for a specific company, subject to its policies and supervision. For part-time employees, CPF contributions are calculated based on monthly wages, with both employee and employer making contributions. CPF rates are periodically adjusted by the government.
